Happy Holidays!

Hello darlings!

I just wanted to take the time and wish each and everyone of y'all a Happy Holidays! I know I haven't been on much lately, but life just keeps getting in the way...not to mention I am on a 2 week break at the moment and I have just been taking some "me" time (not gonna lie). In between my "me" time I'm cooking, cleaning, wrapping up gifts and doing some little shopping for next year's tree. By the way look at what I purchased from Hobby Lobby this morning (left)...can you believe I saved $78!!!! Christmas decor was 66% off and wrapping was 50%. Can you tell what next year's theme is going to be? Im' so excited!!!

****Ramble ALERT**** Growing up I loved the holidays. My Dad, Tia and grandpa  would take me to get a real tree every year (it was seriously a family event). They would hang up
We went with a red & gold theme this year.
lights and decorate the tree with me, but...it wasn't until I was in the 6th grade that the holidays didn't have much of a meaning to me (I will go into detail some other day...just not today)...For the longest time I had so much trouble getting into the holidays, until I met my husband and his family. My gosh they are BIG and I mean BIG on all major holidays. My husband especially loves Christmas. If he could he would play Christmas music all year round...wait...he does that sometimes (haha). He changed my "grinchy" ways and now I am just as crazy about Christmas time as he is! I'm not sure if anyone else has gone through a "phase" like this or is going through this (I hate calling it a phase...because it's not a phase it's much more), but I just want to let you know there is hope and light...just be patient. :) **The reason I brought this up is I know the holidays can be tough on some people for whatever their reason may be...and I just wanted to let them or you know that they or you are not alone...you never are. :)

So, just a little spoiler alert...I purchased the Urban Decay: Naked On the Run limited edition (:/) pallet. I plan on doing a full review on it soon and let you know what I think. I pinky-promise I have not opened it up or tried anything....I've been waiting.

Oh, 2 more thing before I go for the moment...my sister-in-law has also joined the blogging world. Please feel free to check out her blog: lovesarahann.blogspot.com
Seriously, I'm so excited she has decided to join. She is random like myself and...I'm just excited!
Last thing, please feel free to check out my Instagram: beautylifebyinez
I post looks, products and just random stuff. I just ask that you please be positive.  Seriously, I wish ya'll could see my hand gestures and facial expressions as I am writing this. Alright, I am done for now...until next time...
Happy Holiday's from the Borrego's

Review: Erin Condren Life Planner

Good afternoon my dears,

This week has been crazy busy. I've been visiting with friends & doing some shopping (because as a career women I just don't have that time anymore). Right now I have some time to write a review before I start dinner & baking. Oh girl I'm a little housewife when I'm on vacation ;)! Anyways let's jump into this review!

So, I purchase the Erin Condren Life Planner last month and received it I believe the week of Halloween. I could not wait for this planner to come in, because I heard so many wonderful things about this little guy (well it's not that little). I would say the planner is the size of a composition notebook (those black and white notebooks).

The photo to the left is how they packaged the planner. It was wrapped in my favorite color of all time...PURPLE!

I would have to say this planner is perfect for anyone, because in the planner it has both the monthly & weekly spread. The weekly spread has it broken down by morning, day and night. At the bottom you have space to plan out your meals, workouts, daily to-dos, inspirations or any type of lists you may have. On the left side of the weekly spreads you have a Weekly Goals & Notes section. Which personal for me is the best thing ever, because I am the type to have hundreds of lists made weekly with nowhere to put them. This is a yearly planner which means it goes from January 2015- December 2015 ( I did however added the last 3 months of 2014 to my planner). In the planner you have a notes section. Which if you are a blogger like myself you may use this to plan out your posts for the week or any thoughts you may have. Then you have another section in your planner that shows you future dates for 2016 & 2017. The planner does come with 4 sheets of stickers (240 stickers=120 that are pre-ladled/ 120 that are blank). It also comes with a little pocket folder (great for putting bills or important papers). A Forget Me Not Perpetual Calendar & Contacts book is included. This great because you can write down birthdays or anniversaries and you will never forget another important date. I love this because I am one to forget those types of things every now and then. It also comes with a little clear pouch, perfect for putting pens, highlighters or paperclips.

Here is what mine looks like on the outside. I did pay a little extra for then to put a picture on the back side of my planner, but you don't have to do that if it is not your cup of tea.

This planner will range from $50-70 depending on what you want and how you want to customize it. I know it's a lot of money for a planner, but seriously if you are someone who is detail oriented then this will be your best friend. Here is a link for $10 off your first purchase: https://www.erincondren.com/referral/invite/inezborrego0119

Check out the website for other products. She has notebooks, luggage, folders, lesson planners for teachers and so much.

That's all for now, until next time (I need to start the Caldo de Res & baking Chocolate Chip Bread)...

Mini Haul

Hello lovlies,

As promised, here is a post about some products I recently purchased (all with my own money).

I am not going to go into great detail on each product because let's be real I would be here all night writing. I will let you know where I purchased the products and a round about price I paid for each. *Just like many other VIBs or VIB Rouge girls (Sephora), I also took part in their 20% off a few weeks ago.  One more thing, because I have had these products for a few weeks I already tried most of the items. IM SORRY!!! I could not help myself...the main reason was because I bought the items for my wedding anniversary. I promise next time I will not try any of the products until I talk to ya'll about them. Alright, enough rambling...let's get into the "mini" haul. :)

1. Cetaphil Body Cream--Target $9-- I have been wanting this cream for some time, it's not that it was expensive...I just have too many Bath & Body Works lotions. I still do, but my skin is not loving them right now, so I picked up this gem.

2. Maybelline Dream Wonder Powder Foundation-- Target $7-- I was in the market for a setting powder and heard great things.

3. NYX Soft Matte Lip Cream (San Paul)--Target $5-- I'm a die hard matte kind of girl, so when I saw this I was like "I have to have it".
L'oreal Infallible Eye Shadow (Amber Lights)

4. Rimmel Lash Accelerator--Target $6--I bought this off of recommendations on Youtube. I will tell you this...I love this mascara for length, but I tend to need more to get that "Va Va Voom" look.

5. L'oreal Infallible Eye Shadow (Amber Lights)--Target $6/$7-- Honestly the color was just too hard to pass up (picture to the left).

6. Maybelline Brow Drama--Target $6--I was needed a brow gel and forgot to pick up the Anastasia Clear Brow Gel. I do like using this during the week, especially for those days I do not have time to do by brow.

7. NYX Eye Shadow Primer-- Target $5-- I heard this was a good dupe for MAC's paint pods. In order for me to put that true to test I need to purchase the paint pods (which is what I am doing this weekend). As soon as I test this out for myself I will be glad to let you know.

8. Cover Girl Ready, Set, Gorgeous Powder Foundation--Target $7-- I enjoyed their Ready, Set, Gorgeous Concealer, so I thought I would give this product a try. I use it to set my foundation and so far I like it.

9. Anastasia Dip Brow-- Sephora $18-- It was something I have been wanting to try for some time, but was too scared. Now, I will never look back.

10. Anastasia Brow Dual Brush-- Sephora $18--I had to buy this brush to go along with the Dip Brow...it's like PB & Chocolate. They just go together!

*11. Benefit Hoola Bronzer-- Sephora $24--- This item has been on my wish list for some time, so I bought it and didn't look back.

*12. Tarte Lights, Camera, Lashes-- Sephora $22--- I'm a sucker for mascara! If you know me I have a high need for mascara and making sure my lashes are on point.

*13. Bite Lush Fruit Lip Gloss-- Sephora $24-- I bought this off of a Youtube recommendation from Jaclyn Hill. Oh. My. Gosh. lovelies this lip gloss is so gorgeous!!! It's a pinky-nude.
Bite Lush Fruit Lip Gloss (Rambutan)

*13. NARS Radiant Creamy Concealer-- Sephora $25-- This is my "Ride or Die" concealer, enough said.

*14. YSL Fusion Ink Foundation-- Sephora $60-- I bought this to simply give it a try. I do like matte foundations, I was in the market for a new foundation (Review coming soon!!!)

15. Smith's Rosebud Salve-- Sephora $6-- I like this lip gloss or salve, but I did not like the tin packaging. I discovered they made it in tube form when I was watching Rosita Applebaum on Youtube and just had to find it at my local Sephora. Honestly, I'm not sure how long this has been out.

16 Soap & Glory Hand Food--Sephora $6-- I cannot remember who I heard about this product from, but if you know me then you know I wash my hands excessively. I saw this as I was getting ready to check out and just threw it in my basket. It's perfect to keep in your purse, plus my husband loves the smell. He says it reminds him of the holidays (he is BIG on Christmas).

* 20% off items purchased--I did write the true to form amount not the discounted price.

Those were all the items I purchased at the beginning of this month. I plan on doing more shopping the next couple of days... #lifeofamakeupaddict. I will hopefully have a post up on either Friday night or Saturday morning. Next week I will be posting a lot since I have a WHOLE WEEK off for Thanksgiving! YAY!!! Until next time, have a wonderful night!

Update

Hello lovlies,

Wow it has been quite some time since I've posted... 3 1/2 months to be exact, but who's counting. Well I've been SUPER busy with work (life of a teacher), and it is by no means a "walk in the park". I've been trying to adjust and catch up...but I've come to terms that I will be forever doing that until summer. :/

Not much has happen in the Borrego house besides getting ready for the holidays and celebrating 1 year of marriage! My only reason for not being current with posting is my career. Whoops...sorry girlies, but I'm trying to work out a schedule. I think the weekends are my best bet. Oh! I am also currently working on a youtube channel, but I cannot do much until I get a camera (which I am working on). I did manage to post 1 video a "Intro & What's in My Bag". If you are interested in checking that out I will leave a link (http://youtu.be/R3S-1s4ZpxI?list=UU54NWqlUYWYY0wT_rghiIWA). I just ask that you please be nice, after all it is my 1st video. :) If it is not your cup of tea you don't have to check it out. :)

Let me just say that I have a lot of ideas flowing through my little head. I have a review on the Erin Condren Life Planner coming soon. I also have a mini haul post coming soon. I plan on doing some reviews on a few of the products I have purchased and some Christmas DIY decor. I may do a mini picture tutorial on a holiday eye look (this would be better if I had a camera...grr).

Okay, that's all for now. I do plan on writing a post on Wednesday, so be on the look out! :) I'm going to go enjoy some Christmas music and get ready for work (5 days till Thanksgiving break)!!!!

P.S.
I'm sorry if this post seemed random or in a hurry, but I really need to get back on my blogging game.   Please hang in there! <3

July Favorites!!!

I decided to do a favorites post today instead of a review...well it's still a review since these are items that I was loving for the month of July. Holy cow! I cannot believe we are already going into August...where has this year gone? School is starting soon and stores will be packed with teachers and students going back to school shopping. I know I will be one of them since I am a NEW TEACHER!!!! Yes, you read correctly! I have been offered a position in a wonderful district and I couldn't be happier!!!! :)) I'm ready to take you on a journey as a Special Education Collaborative Teacher. I may make a separate blog that will be designated for that journey, but we shall see...

Okay now let us get into my favorites!!! I have been dying to write a blog about my monthly favorites...seriously you have no clue.

This month I have been obsessed with the following:
1. Bath & Body Works Shea & Vitamin E Body Lotion in "Oahu: Coconut Sunset"---OMG guys!!! This stuff seriously smells SOOOO GOOD!!! This scent will stay with me all day. This month I hardly put on perfume because this lotion just does the job. I know BBW has other scents for their Hawaii collection ( I actually have another one...but I have yet to use it). I know I will definitely be stocking up on this baby.
2. LORAC Alter Ego Lipstick "CEO"--I have been loving this lipstick as an everyday wear. I can do minimal makeup put this bad boy on and I'm out the door. Seriously when I wear this I feel like my inner "alter ego" comes out. It's like I'm bad and I know it (not really...I'm hardly a rule breaker).

3. Tarte Amazonian Clay 12-hour Blush "Captivating"---I literally have not stop wearing this blush everyday. Sometimes I look at my Nars blush in "Orgasm" and I'm like "sorry not today". This blush is the perfect peachy-pink tone for my skin and a little goes a long way.

4. NYX Eyebrow Cake Powder "Taupe/ Ash"---So, I am not sure how long this product has been out because I recently discovered it....OMG! I love my Anastasia Eyebrow Wiz, but this powder seriously takes the "cake" (just like it's name). I am OBSESSED!!! The colors are just right for me (I have to admit my husband helped me decided).  It's so easy and effortless to use. I'm not sure if I will every go back to spending $20+ after using this baby.

5. Anastasia Contour Kit "Banana & Vanilla"---I have been using this religiously to set my under eye concealer and T-zone. I literally stay matte all day! (I wrote a post reviewing this product.)

6. Sigma E25 Blending Brush---This brush is travel size and has made my life so much easier when it comes to blending my eyeshadow. It's small enough to just throw in my travel makeup bag. Seriously, if there is one brush you have to have in your life this would be the one.

7. NYX Eye and Eyebrow Pencil "Dark Brown"--- I have been using this pencil all month long. I like to line my lower lash line and then take a pencil brush to smoke it out.

8. Maybelline Pumped Up Colossal Mascara---WHERE HAS THIS BEEN ALL MY LIFE?!?! I love this mascara...it's seriously the bomb.co. It lengths and volumizes my lashes. It took me awhile to fall in love with this mascara, but I am so glad we became best friends.

9. Alex & Ani "Shell Bangle"---(I forgot to include this in the picture...oops!) I'm obsessed with Alex & Ani bracelets. I want every bracelet on the website, but I just don't have that kind of money. I bought the shell bangle/bracelet because I just thought it would be cute to wear for the summer. I have it in the gold finish...in case you are wondering. :)

10. "Bailando" Enrique Iglesias--This has been my go to song! I feel exotic when I listen to this song...is that weird? Seriously, listen to it and you will not be sorry. The beat just gets you going, plus it makes a good workout song. :)

Review: Hourglass Veil Mineral Primer

Hello darlings,

As promised today is "Review Wednesday"and today's review is going to be...yup you guessed it...on the Hourglass Veil Mineral Primer. This product also goes by the name of Hourglass Mineral Veil Primer, but it is your preference. I purchased this little guy (and I do mean little) over 3 weeks ago. I heard a lot about this primer being raved about on Youtube and thought..eh why not try it out?!

This product is meant to conceal redness, minimize pores, and soften fine line and wrinkles.  It is also suppose to create a "perfect" canvas for flawless makeup application. This primer does contain SPF 15.  It is oil free, paraben free, fragrance free, nano particle free, gluten free, synthetic dye free, sulfate free, phthalate free and most of all it is vegan. Wow, that is a mouth full!

I ordered the smaller size bottle which is .33 FL OZ just to try it out. I am combination oily and dry. I tend to be oily on my "T" zone. I don't usually use primers. To be honest I didn't think they were necessary. I have tried a few and honestly I don't like the feeling of them on my face.

Well that all changed when I purchased this little bad boy. Now, I am not going to say that this is a "miracle in a bottle", but it was worth my $18. So, yes it is on the the more pricier side. Especially if you want to purchase the full size bottle. The formula in this primer is amazing! I just love the texture and feel of it on my face. Literally when I pump a tiny amount onto my hands and press into my face it almost feels like it turns into a powder finish. It's weird and interesting all at once. The only thing is that I wouldn't know if it minimize pores or soften fine lines just because I don't have those issues with my skin, but it does help with my makeup application.  I don't use this primer on a daily bases just because 1. I don't want to use the product up quickly and 2. I am usually in a hurry M-F. So the weekends is when I get to play with this little guy. I do recommend that if you are an oily girl then this product will be your go to. If you need something for a special event, once again this will be your saving grace.

Just a reminder, what works for my skin may not work for your skin. We all have different skin types so, please keep that in mind. Im highly sensitive when it comes to products. So, I have to be careful when trying out new items.

I think that is all for now, so until next time my dears...

Update...

Hello gorgeous!

So, I know I have been MIA for quite some time....I completely apologize for that. A lot has been going on since May 28th. From weddings, to family, to personal issues....basically life happened, but don't worry I am back and I have A LOT of ideas to write about (yay). I am trying to figure out a schedule for the week. This way ya'll will know when I will be posting. I do know for a fact I will keep Wednesdays as my "Review Day".  I also plan (in the next couple of months) to revamp my blog, but I will let ya'll know when that will happen.

Seriously girls, there is so much to talk about! Let me start by saying, I know in my last post I mentioned about going to San Diego...sadly that did not happen. It's okay...I got a refund for my tickets and I plan to use them in the near future (maybe a mini-vacay). It just wasn't a good time to take a trip with work and life coming at you all at once. However, I will be taking a mini-vacay to the beach with family and friends soon (this is desperately needed).

I am in the works gathering classroom items because August is quickly approaching. If you read my very first post I mentioned that I am a certified teacher looking for a position...well I am still actively looking. I really hope my time is coming soon though! I just love inspiring little minds and helping them grow by feeding them knowledge. I have such a huge passion for teaching and working with children. :)

I did try creating a Youtube channel because I thought it would be much better for me to just talk rather than having ya'll read a book every night. Unfortunately, that did not go as planned. I uploaded a quick video as a "test" and asked some friends to critique. I took what they had to say and did  another video...well (I am going to take this as a sign) I spent ALL DAY Sunday editing...all I had left to do was a voice over. I left it alone, went to dinner and came back to find that iMovie did not want to open (it still doesn't want to work). Needles to say, it was not meant to be at the moment. For now I am going to stick to my blog until the time is right. Plus I enjoy writing! :)

A few quick things (before I go), please do let me know if ya'll have any recommendations for any type of beauty product(s) or if ya'll want me to review on something specific. I am more then willing to try out new things and give ya'll my honest feedback. I may try to post little videos on here I haven't fully decided just yet. Girl, trust me there is a lot of new stuff coming and I can't wait!!!!

*OH! I am working on the social media aspect (I wish ya'll could see my arms as I am talking). I haven't decided if I want to use my personal accounts or create new accounts. Once I decide I will let ya'll know. :)

Until we meet again....

Review: Milani Lipsticks & A Little Ramble

Hello there darlings!!!

I just wanted to do a quick ramble before I do a little review (who am I kidding it's never little). So, I meant to get a post up last Friday, but things got a little crazy. Literally I got off from work, eat, loaded up the car, changed and went straight to church for my husband's little cousin's confirmation mass (I'm not sure if I made any sense...). After that we left for the coast at like 11 and didn't arrive to our final destination until a little after 1 AM...to say the least I was pretty tired the next day. After all I didn't go to bed till like 3 AM and I had been up since 5:45 AM (Friday)... :/ ***I seriously wished google had emoji icons because these makeshift faces do me no justice...***Anyways...we stayed down at the coast until Sunday night then drove back into town at 11 AM and arrived home a little after 1PM. So, my vacation was shortly lived...but that's okay because I will be soon on a plan on my way too.....SAN DIEGO!!!! AHHHHHH!!! Seriously I am so excited...I have never been to California and I have NEVER flown...so this is going to be interesting (I might blog about my experience..we shall see).

Okay enough of my ramble let's get right to it!!!

***REVIEW***

To be honest there are so many products I want to review (from high-end to drugstore) and sometimes I spend my whole day trying to decide. So, today I thought I would review Milani's lipsticks. I promise I will not make this very long...I'll try at least.
Milani Cosmetics can be found at your local grocery/ drug store. I bought my products at HEB which is our local grocery store here. The 2 lippies I picked up were in the colors (01) Sweet Nectar & (26) Nude Creme. I am obsessed with nudes/ nude pinks like nobody's business, but from time to time I like to venture ou
t and try other colors. Let me give you a break down:

Texture--creamy
Color pay off-- (look below) it's pigmented
Top: Sweet Nectar
Bottom: Nude Creme
Longevity--2-3 hours tops (unless you are going to dinner then I would say an hour tops).
Smell--Literally it smells like watermelon!!!
Taste--Fruity

Now for the fun part...what do I think???
Let me give you my honest opinion..I love these lipsticks personally!! They smell amazeballs!! The color payoff is great...but what gets me is the longevity. I can live with applying my lipstick after I eat..now if you can't then these are not the lipsticks for you (that would be a matte lipstick). Plus these lipsticks cost no more than $4 dollars!!! Uh..yes please!!! I plan to do a little shopping in the Milani Cosmetics section and trying out a few more products. Right now I am trying out their blushes and lip liners.

If you have any suggestions please please please leave them below. I love to try out new products!!!

Until next time...

Good night,
AHumbleLiving

REVIEW: Naked 3

Why hello again!

Today is "review day"!!! Im so excited to talk about the Naked 3 pallet by Urban Decay! I will make this as brief as possible. Like I've said before I will not reveal my opinion until the end so if you want to know please keep reading.

NAKED 3
Urban Decay has been around for about 15 years. They started out in January of 1996 with 10 lipsticks and 12 nail polishes as their debuting line. They were tired of seeing the normal red, pink or beige/ nude tone nail polishes (which those are my absolute favorite). They wanted to create a line that carried a variety of colors (you know for those days you want to step outside of the box) so, they did and let me tell you the rest is history! They do have products for everyone in their line. If you are looking for a natural look they have that. If you want a wild/ bold look...girl, they have something for that or if you wanted something more sultry and sexy they absolutely have something for that too.

Which brings me to the NAKED 3 pallet...I did not purchase this pallet my wonderful husband purchased it for me as a "just because" gift (isn't he so sweet? Brownie points for him!). This pallet retails for $54. I have actually had my eye on this pallet ever since it came out. I own the NAKED pallet which I truly love, but I wanted something different. So, this pallet came with 12 rose-hued neutral shades. You have your matte, shimmery and metallic shades. You have shimmery pinks to rose gold  and your grayish/pinkish browns to your matte black shade that has a hint of red micro glitter. Also, my pallet came with 4 samples of their eye primers and duo ended brush. Packaging is super cute--it seriously reminds me a pencil case like no joke!

VERDICT:
Of course, I love this product! I am a die hard neutrals girl, so I was more than happy to have this pallet in my little collection. Now this pallet is different form my other neutrals just because it has that rosy pink tone in it's shades and I am obsessed with that. Like I said before I use this pallet everyday and I do mean EVERYDAY! I have created a couple of looks using just this pallet alone. I'm obsessed with the colors "Limit" and "Nooner". They are usually my go-to shades. If you've never purchased an Urban Decay pallet I highly recommend that you purchase this pallet. It is a perfect pallet for every skin tone and eye color. I am tan with dark brown eyes and let me tell you this pallet works for me.

Well there you have it, so get online or go to your near Sephora or Ulta and pick up this pallet. Let me know if you would like to see an eye look using some of these colors. I would be more than happy to do one. :) That is all for now, until my next post (which will hopefully be Friday)!!!

Your's truly,
AHumbleLiving

Make-up Tips

Hello there darlings and welcome back!!!

I am going to apologize in advance...I am having another one of those exhausting days (I should get that checked out..) so please do not hate me if my grammar is off or if I am not making any sense.

Today I am going to give you some make-up tips that I use pretty much on a daily bases. These are some things that work for me and that I hope will work for you! So, if you want to know more please keep reading...

Tip #1--Lashes
For those who know me, you know how much time I put into applying my mascara. I use to spend 10 minutes just applying mascara and trying to get them to stay up. Not only that, but the fact that I would get mascara on my fingers (from trying to get them to stay up) and all over the tube...it was ridiculous. Well, I learned that a fan would soon become my best friend (hey)! Here is what I do...I sit in front of my fan and I apply my mascara. It drys the coats that I apply that much quicker and lets not forget that it helps with getting my lashes to stay up (well for a short time because after all I live in Texas).  I apply anywhere from 2-6 coats of mascara ( I know that sounds like a lot, but I need that much if I want these babies to stand out).

Tip# 2--Lipstick
So something that I heard about and adapted into my routine is wearing lip liner. I know most women wear lip liner, but I like to shade in my lips with my liner before applying lipstick. This helps with my wonderful lipstick's longevity.

Tip # 3--Brushes/ Sponges
Girl, you need to keep those babies clean! Here is why, when you are applying make-up with your brushes/ sponges on a daily or every other day bases, you are just collecting more residue. So, every time you pick up your brush/ sponge and put it to your face you are adding unwanted bacteria. Try to clean your brushes at least once a week (twice if you can). I know it's a hassle, but let's face it would you rather have a flawless face or have to constantly treat unwanted guests on your pretty little face? Your choice!

Tip # 4---H20
Not much to say other than DRINK your WATER, okay?!?! I know everybody talks about this, but it's seriously no joke. Water does so much good for the body and it also helps with complexion. So, make sure you get your 6-8 cups a day because I know I do!!!

Last, but not least Tip # 5--Blend
When I am doing my make-up I am constantly blending everything out. I do not want to see any lines that define where the products I applied to my face begin and end. Which leads me to blending out foundation. Always and I do mean always blend your foundation to your neck. I sometimes will take it as for as my chest, but that's usually in the winter time. However for blending out your bronzer or blush a good tool to have is a stippling brush. I use the one from Real Techniques where I purchased it from Ulta for I think $9. It might have been less than that.

Well, that is all the tips I have for now. If you have any tips that you would like to share please leave them below and I would be more than happy to try them out. Be on the look out for a new post tomorrow because it is....REVIEW DAY!!! Also, if you have any suggestions on products to try leave that below and I will see what I can do. :)

Until next time darlings,
AHumbleLiving

Take A Moment...

Hello darlings!

I just wanted to do a quick post...however I am not sure on how quick this will be but we shall see. I wanted to take a moment to talk about motivation and inspiration. Have you ever experienced a time when you doubted yourself, stressed, lost confidence, felt insecure, not worthy, settled or experienced whatever made you feel horrible inside..maybe as you are reading this you are saying to yourself "girl I'm going through that right now!"....

Well....STOP!!! I want you to take a moment right now and look at yourself in the mirror and tell yourself that you beautiful and that you are worth everything in the world because you are!!! Whoever told you, you can't...prove them wrong and let them know you can. Whoever brought down your confidence and made you feel insecure...show them you are beautiful inside and out! You are a strong, intelligent, beautiful (I will use this until you get it), kind hearted, amazing and wonderful women! No one can make you feel any less...I know it happens, they can get to you, but when they bring you down...you get right back up!

STOP stressing....this is one that I am truly working on! I will be completely honest..I am usually the first one to stress. Today I was told by someone much older than me that "what is the worst that can happen?" I honestly did not know how to answer the question. I tried, but everything seemed like an excuse...so stop giving excuses on why you are stressing and LIVE LIFE!!! If you are one who stresses please join me in breaking this habit...because stress only inhibits you from enjoying the finer things in life.

One last little thing, NEVER and I mean NEVER settle for less than what you think you deserve! Like I said previously, you deserve the finer things in life...everyone deserves the life they want not the life they think they should have. There is someone out there that will love you for who you are, how you are, what you do and what you carry. Don't ever think someone will not love you for all the baggage you carry because everyone comes with baggage no matter if it is a small carry-on or luggage size. There is someone out there for you so for now just learn from the mistakes and enjoy life!!!

 Sweet dreams & Good Night!
With love,
AHumbleLiving

 * P.s.--I truly apologize if things do not make sense...I am sleep deprived :/. Also, I am working on a tips post. Which I will hopefully get up tomorrow. :)

REVIEW: Anastasia Contour Kit & Too Faced "Better Than Sex" Mascara

Hello yet again darlings and welcome back to my blog!

So let's just jump right into it...I am first going to review the Anastasia Contour Kit. Once again I will tell you at the end if I think "yay" or "nay"!

"Anastasia Contour Kit"

A little background:
Anastasia Soare is the found of Anastasia Beverly Hills. This company/salon was founded in 1997. Anastasia is originally from Constanta, Romania where she did an apprenticeship in her family's tailor shop as well as attended college. She then trained to become a professional esthetician, shortly after she moved her and her family to Los Angels. She then opened her salon and began creating her beauty products using the "Beauty Blueprint" that she developed. In order for us the "consumers" to achieve the beautiful flawless eyebrows, Anastasia used the proportions and features of women to develop the blue prints that we can follow at home. All products were tested on clients at her salon and not on the back of their hands (which is good to know).

Now as for the contouring kit (which is currently SOLD OUT everywhere until later this year--Im sorry for that :(...)...I purchased this a little over a month ago and I have been kind of using it on a regular bases more so on the weekend (this is when I am usually wearing a full face of makeup). The kit comes with 6 different powders that are used to either contour or highlight. The TOP 3 shades are used for highlighting and the BOTTOM 3 are used for defining your features. They are removable powders that are there to emphasize any part of your face! These pans can be refillable, which means you can purchase them individually in the case you run out (unfortunately this will not become available until later this year--I know sad, right?!)...OH and they are hypoallergenic (score)!!!

VERDICT:
Alright, this is what you have been waiting to hear...don't worry I gotcha girl :)!! I absolutely love this pallet. It is definitely worth the wait!! I am a die hard fan of the middle banana powder shade. It is perfect to set my under eye concealer (because not matter what product I use it always creases) and my T-zone area. I do mix the other 2 highlighting shades and use them on my cheekbones. As for the contour shades I usually use the middle shade just to define my cheekbones and forehead. Since it is getting to be the summer time I don't like a harsh contour...not only that, but this girl gets dark in the summer time and I am already tan as it is..so yea!

"Too Faced--Better Than Sex Mascara"

Okay for the sake of time...I am not going to go talk about the background of Too Faced just because this company has been around for quite sometime (but if you want me to do a full review on Too Faced I would be more that HAPPY--just let me know in the comments below).
I was in Ulta a few weeks ago and picked up this product that I have heard so many beauty gurus talk about on Youtube and decided to just give it a try. So on the packaging it is said to make your lashes longer and have a more dramatic volume appeal. The brush itself has an hourglass shape that is designed to separate, coat and curl your lashes. It is film-forming polymer--which makes it smudge proof and you can basically wear it all day. It also has "Acacia senegal tree extract" which nourishes, thicken and curls your lashes. Last, but not least it is ophthalmologist tested and is safe to use for anyone who wears contacts.

VERDICT:
I have long eyelashes, but by no means do they have volume. So, whenever I hear about a product such as this I am all for it...but in this case not quite. I'm not going to say I hate it, but I'm also not going to say I love it. I just simply like this mascara. It's not my all time favorite, just because my lashes do not stay curled (but that's a given when you live in TEXAS) and I don't see a big difference in volume. I do have to say that I NOW use this product with another mascara and that seems to give a little bit more of what I like and if you know me then you know how much time and effort I put into my lashes!!! NO JOKE...most of my time is spent putting on mascara. If I can find a one stop PERFECT mascara that can truly cut my time in half...I will be all about that!!!

**If I am not making any sense or my grammar/spelling is off please forgive me..it is late (9:44--that's late for me) and my eyes are extremely tired from starring at a computer screen at work for 8 hours, but I do this because I love my hobby and more importantly I LOVE talking about it!!! :)

Good night dolls & until next time,

A Quick Ramble

Hello Darlings and welcome back!

I just wanted to do a quick post to make up for yesterday and then I'll do another post right after this with not just 1....wait fort it, but 2 reviews!!!

Okay, so I decided my plan is to either make Tuesdays or Thursdays a "tip" post day, Wednesday's (for sure) an overall "review" post day and if I can get to it we will have (don't laugh) "Friday Fitness".  Basically my HOPE is to post 3 times a week...again I will try, but you know life it can be CRAZY...okay?!

So...my tip for today (it's a really quick one) is to SMILE :)!!! Girl, I know how hard and I mean HARD it is to smile when it feels like your world is falling apart or someone cuts you off while driving or things don't go as planned or whatever the excuse is...just smile. I am telling you it will make a difference in your mood and it will benefit your health. Dont sweat the small stuff because in the end all that matters is all the good that has happened...so SMILE!!! :))

Until later,

Review: BITE BEAUTY Agave Lip Mask

Hello darlings!!!

Welcome back to my blog!! Today's post is...Yup you guessed it a REVIEW! I purchased the BITE BEAUTY Agave Lip Mask at the beginning of April so, I have been testing this beauty out for about a month now. I heard so much about this product on YouTube that I finally decided to purchase it and try it out for myself, but before I tell you my verdict let me talk about the product.

So, BITE BEAUTY is a company that is based out of Toronto. They are a natural lip care company. All of their products are made up of natural ingredients and believe it or not they are meant to be digested (that's weird..I know). On average women consume anywhere from 3.7-7 pounds of lipstick within their lifetime. BITE BEAUTY created their products to be safely digested thus the "natural" ingredients. Their mission statement is "to create lipstick that is high performing and healthy enough to eat for women everywhere".

The Agave Lip Mask is one of the 2 products I own from BITE BEAUTY. The mask "instantly soothes & softens lips with this delicious leave-on lip mask made with organic agave & vanilla CO2--(suppose to be on top of o) extracts" ( I got this off their packaging that the tube came in). Basically, it is a leave on mask that has a thick texture to it...almost like vaseline. It has a sweet scent and taste hence the agave & vanilla. If you don't know Agave is like honey, but better! It soothes and heals wounds.

****VERDICT*****
Being someone who suffers from chapped lips year round (so not pretty), I have to truly say that I LOVE this product. I have seen a huge difference with my lips. I hardly have a rough time applying my lipstick especially matte lipsticks...and we all know how matte lipsticks can dry your lips out. I usually apply this mask at night before bed. When I wake I sometimes still have a little bit of product left...I usually wash it off with my cleanser. Now, if you DON'T like thick, sweet, vanilla scented things then this is NOT the product for you, but I do encourage you to give it a try. You never know you might like it! This product retails for $26 on Sephora's website. The tube is hard to squeeze, but if you squeeze from the bottom (like a toothpaste tube) you will easily get the right amount of product needed.
I think I pretty much touched all bases...If I think of something else I will let you know in my next post. I might do Wednesday's as my official "Review days" we shall see!!! Until next time darlings....

Good night and Sweet dreams!
Love,

Why hello darlings and welcome to my blog!

First of all I want to thank you for stopping by and taking the time to read my blog!  Let me just start out by saying that I do use a lot of exclamation points and I do mean A LOT!!!! I also tend to repeat my self, I promise I will get better with that. Oh, and I have extremely random thoughts...so I might go off on different tangents, but I promise I will always come back to my main point. Now that I have that out in the open, if you want to know more about me and my wonderful blog then please keep reading!!! :)

I am a 24 year old newlywed...and I have been with my husband for 8 years (7 years when we got married). So, we are high school sweethearts! We reside in wonderful TEXAS where the weather is bipolar and we only have Summer/Fall as our seasons. Oh and our occasional "winter" for a month and a half! I am a certified Elementary Teacher and I am in the process of searching for a position (so, please keep your fingers crossed). We have no children at the moment, but we do plan on having children in the future.

I am a down to earth, caring, loving, sometimes stubborn, goal oriented, hard-headed, hard worker, dedicated, organized, OCD, passionate, germaphobe, make-up addict, chocolate lover, book worm, dog lover, shy, anxiety written and open-minded young women...(phew, that was a mouth full)!

Enough about ME (for now)...I have decided to join the blogging world and write about pretty much anything. My lovely blog will be geared towards:
Make-up reviews
Teacher Tips & Tricks
Make-up/Fashion/Beauty Tips & Tricks
Beauty/Fashion/Teacher Hauls
Life Tips about Relationships, Careers, Family, Confidence, Acceptance..etc.
Health/Fitness
Occasional Make-up Tutorials
DIY's
Pretty much anything that floats my boat...or anything my lovely darlings would want to read about!
*I am basically writing about the 2 things I am truly passionate about which is beauty and education...So, I thought why not put both topics together in one HUGE blog! :)

**I will hopefully be doing a special series coming up in August (but I will divulge more info on a later date).**

I hope this blog fits your blog reading needs and please stay tuned for more posts coming soon!!!! I am currently working on another post at the moment. I will be completely realistic...I may not post daily, but I will have at least 2 maybe 3 posts a week

Thank you and have a wonderful night darlings!
